Arkansas Razorbacks
Odds
Next game odds, CFP outlook, schedule and bowl history.
Arkansas is +20000 to win the SEC and +10000 to win the national title. That is the wrong way round, and Arkansas is the only team in this league priced that way.
Every other SEC side is priced to win the conference more often than it wins the country. Texas is 26.3 percent and 11.4. Georgia is 22.2 and 10.0. Mississippi State, tied with Arkansas at +20000 for the conference, is 0.5 and 0.1.
Arkansas is 0.5 and 1.0. The book has the Razorbacks winning everything twice as often as they win their own league.
Ryan Silverfield takes over in 2026 with a career win rate of 67.0 percent. That is seventh best of the sixteen head coaches in this conference, ahead of Steve Sarkisian, Brent Venables and Eliah Drinkwitz. Texas is +280. Arkansas is +20000. Hold both of those numbers for a second.

Joint longest in the league. Arkansas shares that price with Mississippi State, and the two rosters are not sharing much else. Jeff Lebby goes into his third year in Starkville on a 28.0 percent career win rate. Silverfield walks into Fayetteville on 67.0. Same number on the board.
Pete Golding is on the identical 67.0 percent at Ole Miss. Ole Miss is +1000. Arkansas is twenty times the price with a coach carrying the same record. Coaching rate is not a market on its own, and the book is pricing the roster and the schedule rather than the resume. Worth knowing which part of the number you are betting against.

Tenth of sixteen. Arkansas jumps five places between the two tables, and no other team in this league moves up at all.
Look at who is below. Auburn and Missouri are +12500 for the national title. Both are priced shorter than Arkansas for the conference, Auburn at +4000 and Missouri at +3000. The book has them ahead in Atlanta and behind in January.
A twelve-team playoff explains part of it. You no longer have to win this league to win the title, so the two markets can drift apart. What it does not explain is the direction. Every other SEC team is priced to clear the smaller hurdle more often than the bigger one. Arkansas is the exception, and the exception is worth about half a point of implied probability.
Our Call
The cheap version of this page treats +10000 as a bargain because the number is big. We are not going to.

Lucky Rebel call
Leave the national +10000 alone. If you want the position, +20000 on the conference is the number that agrees with the situation. The two prices contradict each other and only one of them can be right. At +10000 you take Arkansas level with Vanderbilt and South Carolina. You take them shorter than Auburn and Missouri. The book rates three of those four well clear of the Razorbacks in their own league. That is paying for the harder outcome. The conference price does the opposite. +20000 is joint longest in the SEC, and it is honest about what this is: a first-year staff, an unsettled quarterback room, a schedule inside the deepest conference in the sport. What kills it: Silverfield is in season one and his 67.0 percent was built somewhere else. The quarterback job is open, with KJ Jackson and AJ Hill still competing. Joint longest in a sixteen-team league is joint longest for a reason. Quincy Rhodes Jr. is a real player on a defensive front that needs several more. A 0.5 percent price is a 0.5 percent price. |
Players Who Move the Numbers
| Player | Pos | Class | Role in 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| KJ Jackson #7 | QB | R-So. | Competing for the job |
| Sutton Smith #5 | RB | R-Sr. | Projected starter |
| Quincy Rhodes Jr. #97 | DE | Sr. | Projected starter |
Rhodes is the one to watch. Second-team All-SEC in 2025, in his first year as a full-time starter. Forty-four tackles and 15.5 for loss. He is 6-6 and 277, a North Little Rock kid who stayed home. That tackle-for-loss number travels in this league.
Smith arrives from Memphis as a redshirt senior, 5-9 and 196. He passed 1,000 all-purpose yards in 2025. Jackson is 6-4 and 225, out of Saint James School in Montgomery, Alabama. He is still splitting the room with AJ Hill in Silverfield’s first fall camp.
Alabama, Florida and Tennessee all have their Game 1 starter priced as a market. Arkansas has the same open job and no number on it yet.
