Chambliss took the job in week three of last season and finished it with SEC Newcomer of the Year and the Conerly Trophy. Golding inherits all of that on a 67.0 percent career win rate. Five teams are shorter for this conference. We would swap most of them for this roster. What kills it: Golding has never taken a team through a full season in Oxford, Chambliss has one year of SEC football behind him, and the opener is a real game rather than a warm-up.
